Tony Bridgwater, Professor of Chemical Engineering, is leading the Bioenergy Research Group at Aston University. He has been pioneering the development of thermal biomass conversion and second generation biofuel technologies for over 30 years.

Prof. Costas Kiparissidies

Costas Kiparissidies is Professor and Chairman of Chemical Engineering Department at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During 2005-2010 he was Director of the Center of Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH).He is member of the advisory group (EAG) of the NMP programme, member of the Mirror Group of the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry and Vice chairman of Ad-Hoc Advisory Group on Industrial Nanotechnologies.

Emeritus Professor Spyros Kyritsis

Prof. Spyros Kyritsis is Emeritus professor at Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), former President of Agricultural University of Athens (Greece), former President of the FAOs’ European Commission on Agriculture, former general director of C.R.E.S (Centre of Renewable Energy Sources) and the European Network on Education and Training in Renewable Energy Sources of UNESCO. He has long experience in biomass and energy issues.
